Welcome to the PLFSOM Medical Student Teaching Center (MSTC) webpage. We offer peer academic support to all medical students enrolled at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.

The MSTC was first established in 2010 with the goal of enriching the academic environment by providing near-peer tutoring services to all medical students enrolled at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. Individual and group tutoring services are facilitated by Teaching Assistants (peer tutors) who are selected for their exceptional interpersonal abilities and academic performance.

All medical students at the Foster School of Medicine and dental students at the Hunt School of Dental Medicine are eligible to receive assistance through the MSTC regardless of the subject, level of ability, or need for learning accommodations. The MSTC seeks to provide an excellent experience to students at every level in their medical education. Students are able to advance their understanding of the principles and practice of medicine due to instruction from our teaching assistants in a welcoming environment.
