Summer Camp for High School Students
Two camps are offered that are each two weeks long. Each camp can accommodate up to 30 students and takes place on the Texas Tech Health El Paso campus. The curriculum consists of interactive presentations with health care professionals, field trips, a mock crime scene investigation, financial aid information, and a reality store exercise (simulation of life expenses). Students are informed through visits with advisors at high school campuses in the El Paso region.
2026 Summer Medical Camp
The Foster School of Medicine is excited to host Summer Medical Camps for current and rising high school students. Participants will experience engaging field trips, guest speakers from different medical professions, and college preparation workshops. Snacks and learning materials will be provided at no cost.
Camp Dates
- Camp 1: June 8 - 18, 2026
- Camp 2: June 22 - July 2, 2026
Eligibility Criteria
- Current or rising high school students
- Must be available to attend in person from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily
- Interested in a medical career
