Welcome to the Family Medicine Clerkship

The Family Medicine Clerkship at the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine offers medical students a supportive environment in which to explore the breadth of family medicine and its role in community health. The clerkship team is dedicated to mentoring students throughout their rotation and ensuring they have the guidance, structure, and resources needed to succeed. The program emphasizes a well-designed curriculum, thoughtful student advising, and strong partnerships with community-based preceptors who help illustrate the scope of family medicine across diverse practice settings.

As part of its commitment to high-quality medical education, the clerkship continuously engages with best practices and national developments in the field. Students completing the rotation gain exposure to the principles of family medicine, opportunities to learn from practicing clinicians, and a structured foundation that supports their academic and professional growth. Students with internal access may view detailed requirements, schedules, and clerkship materials through the internal site.
