How to Apply
The Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON) Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing application process requires applicants to complete two applications.
Application Requirements and Deadlines
Applicants must complete both applications by the posted deadline to be considered for admission:
- The Nursing Centralized Application Service (NursingCAS) application: A $60 application fee is required upon submission of the completed application. After submitting a completed NursingCAS application, applicants will receive an email invitation to complete the GGHSON supplemental application.
- GGHSON Supplemental Application (secondary): Submit the supplemental application after receiving the email invitation. A $75 application fee is required upon submission. Additional instructions will be provided after applications are submitted by the applicable application deadline.
Follow the NursingCAS link instructions to complete the application. Upon submission of a complete NursingCAS application, applicants must complete the supplemental application once they receive an email invitation to complete the secondary application.

Accelerated B.S.N. Program Application Dates
Applications open and close on the following dates:

To ensure timely admission consideration, pre-advising is strongly encouraged with the Hunt School of Nursing (SON) Office of Student Affairs. We recommend meeting with an advisor at least one year before the admission cycle you wish to enter.

Placement Fee Upon Acceptance
Upon acceptance students are required to pay a non-refundable $100 placement fee and a $50 orientation fee. Instructions for submitting payment are included in the offer letter.
Additional Notes
- Applicants are responsible for ensuring that both the NursingCAS application and the GGHSON supplemental application are complete and submitted by the application deadline.
- Application fees and placement fees are non-refundable.
- Applicants are responsible for selecting the correct program and campus at the time of application.

Financial Aid Information
Applicants interested in applying for financial aid, including student loans, grants, or scholarships, upon admittance to the GGHSON must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The GGHSON requires a FAFSA on file to be eligible for scholarships offered by the school.
Applicants interested in financial aid (student loans, grants, scholarships) should:
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Apply for FAFSA
- Use the TTUHSC El Paso school code: 042808
- Ensure a FAFSA is on file to be considered for HSON scholarships.
